Hi all,

I saw the Xwing data file only contains wave1 ships. Is there an update somewhere? or has this project stopped?

Thanks

All of the data files for the game systems are created by volunteers (hooray for the volunteers!). I reached to the member of the community that created the original files, but I have not heard any update as to whether he is planning on creating additional updates.

Bump for much needed update of Wave 2, 3 and 4.

Clever updatey people, you're my only hope.

I originally volunteered to take these over. The original author expressed excitement for that but wanted to also maintain controls and distribution thru his area which was also fine. He has yet to get back to me so I kind of stepped away assuming he decided to instead handle himself.

Going forward at this point, if I were again going to take over I would probably instead plan to just take over fully as having to use the original author as a middleman/manager is not acceptable as this has shown.

The only "hobby" GW is interested in is lining their pockets with your money.

If you do start developing a new set of files I would be most appreciative. I find Army Builder much easier to work with then most of the online tools (not even counting the game stores where I have no wifi for my laptop ).

Hey,

I've been using Army Builder for a number of years due to Warhammer and I was using it for X-Wing (back when it was up to date).

I'm a programmer by trade and should start to have free time again in the evening to work on a project like this.

I really love X-Wing and Army Builder (and I keep up to date on all the latest announcements, previews, and spoilers on all the upcoming ships) so I would be happy to do this unless jlong05 (or someone else) is already doing it.

It would be my first data file for AB though, if that matters to anyone.

My code doesn't have bugs; it has undocumented features!

Just to give an update to those interested, I've started work on this. It will be a new build from the ground up (version 2! - sorry no backwards compatibility with old rosters) to support all the new rules and formats. It will hopefully only take me a few weeks to get a first pass out the door.

From a logistics standpoint, there are still a few things to work out. I'll be requesting a sub forum for X-Wing so that there is a place that people can easily give comments and bug reports as well as a place for me to give status updates.

Thanks for taking this up. It will be nice to have another option to work with.
