FYI - after running into some hurdles with early development, we revised our initial estimate a while ago from "Q1" to "Spring" this year. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news! I want this just as badly to use for GMing my Shadowrun game.

Is there a way to get a beta of this?
I'm seriously considering a purchase of HL 4e + Pathfinder (all mods) + Shadowrun 4e for a convention I run. The plan being to put it on 3 computers so people at the convention can manage their characters there. Without it, I'm not sure if it's worth buying HL for the convention at all. The convention is May 20-22, and I would need it before then. |

Unless circumstances change, we will not be doing a public beta for Shadowrun.
We'll hopefully have it out by May 20th, but I can't make any guarantees on that yet. Sorry I can't be more help |

I believe the word they used is "maybe". *wry grin* I've worked with Lone Wolf. It's a small company and a setback can impact a lot of things. Also, the process of entering in a new system is a lot of work with many ways in which it can go sideways. Heck, even the data entry takes finite time... and there's finite resources, particularly with people like Colen bearing the bugs of all of the system on his shoulders.

I must say that Colen is a genius when it comes to Hero Lab.
I just seriously want to have Shadowrun and Pathfinder as well as 4e D&D for the convention I run. I think if I can demo all 3 systems on a single character builder application that when the portion of the 20,000+ people who come to Acen for RPGs see it, I think you'll see quite a few new sales. |

Will the Shadowrun toolkit have a dice roller to help with calculating things like drain and/or wounds, etc? Any special combat manager functions for the tactical console with regards to Shadowrun's system?

anymore ive come to use Blizzard and Nintendo Legend of Zelda timing schemes for release dates. when a date is said add 3 months and then roll a d6 and add that many years. Anymore i jsut wish they wouldnt release any timeframes and wait till its 95 percent done to tell us anything.

Has there been any further information released regarding the Karmagen system? It should be fairly easy to implement, as you basically create a 0 BP character and then spend roughly twice the BP in karma to build the character.
For our group, this method creates rounder characters. Any official comments on this would be appreciated. |
