Thanks! Hey, I try. It helps that I'm anal, and have logic issues with the way CV's set up that will never be resolved, but I use it because it's far superior than trying rely on my memory when building decks from inventory. I sent a previous list to *a* address, but I wasn't sure if it was the right one. > > Jack of All Trades > > Black Knives 54_U_310 > > Saga of the Storm 150_U_295 > > Rarity: Uncommon, should be Rare > > Are you saying it is printed on the card as a rare in both cases? Sorry, I guess it's opposing states of mind. To me "All" is globl item with exceptions, as opposed to multiclass item. I guess there is no way to reconcile this without adding a "Classless" tag, and that's not worth it IMO. > > The only Fixed cards that have Foil version are from Assassin's > > Strike. > > That was not what AEG said, IIRC, but I will double check and > correct any that need to be fixed. I'll admit I may be wrong, but the only foils I've every seen on fixed cards are the ones that came out of Assassin's Strike, which seemed to have a wonky print setup because of it's small set size. OK, I have to ask. Where do you run into issues with CV's design? Inquiring
minds want to know. :-) And what makes you certain they will "never be resolved"? I like to think we made some huge improvements between V1.0 and V1.1, and we're planning on adding more functionality in V1.2. So the word "never" seems a bit absolute to me. Please explain.... -Rob At 03:12 AM 4/29/2003 +0000, you wrote: >...have logic issues with the way CV's set up that will never be resolved... --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rob Bowes (rob@wolflair.com) (559) 658-6995 Lone Wolf Development www.wolflair.com ------------------------ Yahoo! Is anyone actually likely to search for classless items, rather than checking for a particular class for whose items they are searching? For the older sets I got the data off of a web data base... I see your point, and will double-check this one and include it in the maintenance release. ===== --- Kuni Tetsu Clan War rules guy Moderator of ClanWar-l __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? You can already filter cards that do NOT have a tag (or tags) within CV.
Within the Filter mechanism, pick a tag group, then click on the small button at the top next to "Required Tags". Select the "Exclude" option and then mark the tags that you do NOT want. Hope this helps, Rob At 06:10 AM 4/29/2003 -0700, you wrote: > > Sorry, I guess it's opposing states of mind. To me "All" is globl > > item with exceptions, as opposed to multiclass item. I haven't heard of it, and it would be change that only affects one card that does not get a lot of use. Admittedly, a healthy bit of this is the way the *databases* are set up, which is out of your control. For example, I sort my L5R cards by Dynasty and Fate, and then the subgroups. The last time I asked for this, I got the impression that, since you can already exclude one or the other using card types, a Dynasty/Fate tab wasn't coming (and I agree that more tabs = more headaches.) I was ordering my warlord cards Characters/Items/Actions, and there is no way to replicate this sort in CV because its arbitratry, not logical. [shrug] I'm just wierd that way. I guess if there was a way to dictate the sort on a particular tab, you could do it, but the programmers know more than I do about just how difficult that would be. For now, I just have to adjust my mindset when entering cards I've sorted in a non-CV way. As for the upgrades, yes, 1.1 was the shiznits so far. The only recommendation I can give is more Keyboard controls. Database entry and mouse work do not mix, no matter how much Microsoft insists. CV is a specialized database, and shoudl be controlable completely with the keyboard so has to reduce and hand movement, unless those keyboards with the eraser point mice built in have become standard. ------------------------ Yahoo! so this means we can put you down for another vote on the "please
expose the query language" camp? Hear that, Rob? Abilio --- Alex Durden <hunter.rose@att.net> wrote: > --- In cardvault@yahoogroups.com, Rob Bowes <rob@w...> wrote: > > OK, I have to ask.
