Anyone know of anything that could prevent Weapon Finesse from applying to a Wakizashi?
I ask because one of the other players in my group is playing a catfolk ninja and I'm seeing weapon finesse apply correctly to her claws and unarmed attacks but not her wakizashi. |

Unless the wakizashi is somehow the wrong Size, it looks like a bug you should report.

The armor check penalty of a shield being applied to weapon finesse attacks is something that has thrown people off in the past.

The PC in question doesn't have a shield.

When you do report it as a bug, please provide more information than your original post - I tested a Wakizashi on a Ftr 1 with EWP Wakizashi and Weapon Finesse, and didn't have any problems. So there's something else happening than the weapon finesse feat not detecting Wakizashis as a valid target.

Hmm, yeah, I created a first level Catfolk Ninja and gave it Weapon Finesse and a Wakizashi and that worked properly too. Something else is going on here.

I figured out what the problem was. It's entirely user error. nothing wrong with the code. Please cancel bug report.
