I have an Epson Stylus C66 and just installed the drivers that are optimized for WinXP SP2...and I still get blocks of ink instead of little dudes; FYI, the WHFB files include graphics for musicians and standard bearers, and they print out just fine, and everything else I've ever printed, including photographs, prints fine. This sucks. Just tell me how to disable that graphic from printing out, please. My roster looks ridiculous. Go to the Settings menu, then the Roster Construction Settings submenu, and
select "Disable Bitmaps When Printing". This should turn off the bitmaps, but it will turn off ALL bitmaps. We're still trying to figure out why things aren't working with your particular printer drivers, since everything works fine with HP and a few other drivers. At this point, it looks like Epson does something non-standard within their drivers that is causing things to get stuffed up. We had a big problem with Epson drivers not doing things correctly a few years ago, and we had to figure out a way to work around thier driver problems. I won't be surprised if this is yet another instance, but figuring out how to work around incorrect drivers is a real challenge, so this may take some time. Epson makes great hardware, but they do a LOUSY job with their drivers. :-( -Rob At 10:45 AM 2/5/2005 -0600, you wrote: >Finally got around to updating my drivers...to no avail. At least you know there's a conflict with Epson printers (and man, I really, really like this printer--best 60 bucks I've spent in a long time!). Thanks for your help. Thanks for your >help. > >Tom You probably DID try that. Prior to V3.0b, that particular bitmap wasn't being disabled, although all the other ones were. We fixed V3.0b so that the model count bitmap was included in the list of bitmaps disabled. So if you're using V3.0b now, this method ought to at least give you a printout without the ugliness. I wholly agree that Epson makes great hardware. I just wish they wrote equally good drivers for their printers. :-) -Rob --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rob Bowes (rob@wolflair.com) (650) 588-8252 Lone Wolf Development www.wolflair.com ------------------------ Yahoo!
