I am having some issues with the "Adaptable" Edge. It should give access to a racial ability, like scamper, to a human, but it appears to not be working properly. Is anyone aware of a work around for this?

Thanks!

Chad

This would be Fantasy Companion specific, but it does appear that specific instance seems to me like all of the non-Human racial Edges should not just have a pick-req of the required race on it, but rather an Expr-Req that tests for the existence of either the race or the Adaptable Edge. I don't think specific issue has been noted before so I'd call that a bug to be added to that thread. In the meantime it just gives an notification error is all, so you can always just ignore the error and add the Edge anyway.

zarlor is correct, that would make it work. Most likely there was an intent to "fix it later", but it was forgotten and "later" did not happen.

In the meantime you can just make new versions of the race edges that you want that will do as zarlor suggested.

Evil wins because good rolls poorly .... or the players are not paying enough attention to the game.
