Sorry, jumped the gun on my second post. After I Def'd the file I open
ABCReator and there it was, opened it and my settings are there. I corrected
that spelling error too. I think I am ready to start setting up units.....

Thanks

Robert

Ok, that was short...
I have two problems that I can seem to find in the manual.

The stat for Movement can have a single number or a #/# combo. How do I set
it up in the def/text file to permit that?

The stat for Movement Mode is an abbreviation, GEV, HOV, TNK... How do I set
to permit that?

here's the new text file...

Define a single number variable in datadef file, and use unit local
attributes :
attr:name="value"{#race}{#mode}{#legal}
to make some of your units look like #/#.

Define a mapping with
smap:stat-map:x1{-y1}=z1{,x2{-y2}=z2}... (Race Attribute.)

For the first problem, I'd use multi-stat (see the local unit attribute
strm), which you can find in the manual.

Just looking through your def file, and noticed a few things. Under
units, you list what appear to be the various forces you can have -
that's what different races are for. The units category is for defining
characteristics that are shared by a type of unit - perhaps wheeled,
hover, GEV, foot? Or vehicle, infantry, ogre? Until you know what you
need, I'd use the same things you defined for compositions (although
you'll need new abbreviations). For example, everything that has that
#/# movement should probably be a different category than the ones with
a single number. That way, you can define special attributes that apply
only to them.

Thanks for that Simon. I nearly missed it as the mail got lost
switching between digest and individual modes.

Sorry to reply to my own post but I remembered why I discounted that option.
The drum needs a profile so the 'drum' option would call a 'drum' unit and
back to a model count of 1.
