I am using Windows 7 (64 bit) and just recently downloaded the update for saving character sheets into pdf. Ever since then, my Hero Lab keeps freezing up and freezing the entire computer. I have to manually shut off the computer and restart. I did this four times during a gaming session before I finally gave up on it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Where, exactly, in the use of Hero Lab does the freeze occur? Startup, using a specific feature?

I got out of the computer support around 2006 when I switched to Mac's, but apps generally can't cause OS lockups, unless that app has device drivers (which HeroLab doesn't.)
So more than likely the problem is with a recent windows update, bad ram (very likely), bad harddisk throwing corrupt data that gets executed, etc. |

I'm not actually doing anything when it locks up. I had two windows open with two different characters. Each time it locked up, I went to look at a different tab or switch characters, but I couldn't click anything. I have now had my computer up and running for 2 days without openning hero lab and it hasn't locked up on me at all.

Two characters in the same portfolio file? I hope not.

Sorry, worded that wrong. Two windows with one character each.
