I saw some old messages about this, but I never saw a resolution. Does anyone know how to get AB to recognize that the CD is in the drive? I've got a CD for my work computer and AB won't start in any mode other than "Demo". I ran into a similar problem...turned out to be that the CD drive letter had changed. The CD was installed on, let's say E drive, which, because of a new drive being put in, is now F drive. ============================================================ Gene <º)))>< Siege Tower Games http://www.siegetower.com/ GrailKnight's Siege Tower http://www.siegetower.com/grailknight/ Siege Tower Web Designs ============================================================ ----- Original Message ----- From: Rand rand@binary.net (rand@binary.net) To: ab@support.wolflair.com Sent: Monday, March 20, 2000 10:09 AM Subject: [AB] CD not recognized issue fix? > I saw some old messages about this, but I never saw a resolution. Good guess, but .... wrong. :-) I have the 1.4a CD, and I installed from the CD. I've tried it multiple times with uninstalling and reinstalling, with upgrading, without upgrading. Just what you needed eh Rob? A real pain of a problem when you're already over worked. Well I'm going to let you off the hook for now. My kid arrived today (3 weeks early) so I'm going to be a little too busy to worry about whether or not I can screw around with AB at work. My key registered version at home works great BTW. rob bowes ro-@wolflair.com wrote: original article:http://www.egroups.com/group/armybuilder/?start=719 > If you have the V1.3a CD (probable), the CD won't auto-load itself when you > insert it IF you already have the demo version installed. <Grumble> Well, let me know when you have free time again to look into this (i.e. in June if you're lucky <g> in 2006 <G>). I'll work with you and see if I can sort out what the problem is. Congratulations on the new addition to the family!!!!
