HLExport - Third-Party details not editable?

Hi all!

I'm trying to do an .hl file for a new game created with the Authoring Kit. When I open the HLExport tool, the details to enter the Third-party information is greyed out and I can't change the information there from an old Fate Core export I did.

Am I missing something?

I think it does that if a def file is selected. I've had the same issue too.

You could force the changes you need by changing the values stored in the hlexport.prefs file in the HL folder.

I've got it set now. Is it correct to say that this ID information is what drives the updates tool?

Yep. I would recommend looking at THIS post I did for how to create .hl and updates.xml files. It also shows how to do it using dropbox.
