I haven't gotten a response from the datafile author, so I thought I'd post this here and ask Rob or Ed to make sure this gets to he datafile author and that these problems get fixed.

1. I'm seeing the card "Blue Eyes Toon Dragon" Twice in the inventory window even with Merge Duplicate Cards on. And one of them isn't even sorting alphabetically properly.

2. The "Format" tag group need to be removed entirely from the datafiles. Yu-Gi-Oh cards do not come in foil AND non-foil formats. Rather, the more common cards are non-foil, while higher rarity cards have an increasing amount of foil on them. Therefore, there is no need for a format tag at all.

3. It would be much sipler and you would end up with smaller datafiles if you made an "Edition" tag group. That way you could have a !st Edition and Unlimited Edition tags instead of having seperate releases set up for the First Editions of the releases.

4. The Blue Eyes White Dragon promo needs to be added to the datafiles. It came with issue #1 of Shonen Jump, has the same stats as the other Blue Eyes White Dragons, and has the collector number JMP-001. I can give you more information if you need it.

5. The Dulest King Series 3 and many other promos also need to be added. See www.yugiohrealms.com for complete list of promos listed by promo set. Be sure to add all the video game promos.

I think most of your questions could only be answered by the datafile
author, however I will comment on this one:

This would cause problems from an inventory standpoint. For a really
dedicated collector for whom it is vitally important that their collection
is catalogued accurately, it is imperative that the '1st edition' and
'unlimited' versions appear separately in the inventory - I believe 1st
edition cards are worth more, or something.

Also, since they are separate printings of the cards, there may be errors
in the 1st edition that are corrected in the unlimited version, and
similar. Thus, the two need to be separate releases, so card description
text and errata can be correctly updated in the future.

Hmm, I could've sworn there was some game system that handeled unlimited and limited editions of the same release in a way other than to have seperate releases for each edition, but know that I'm looking for it, I can't find it anywhere. I do see the validity in your arguement however, so never mind about that one. That said, will one of see that my other concerns get to the datafile author? Also, I forgot about the new expansion that is not in the datafiles either. So here's the revised list:

3. The new set, Legacy of Darkness needs to be added.

See www.yugiohrealms.com and select the "cardlist" link for complete list of cards including promos listed by promo set. Be sure to add all the video game promos. Instead of the "Other" edition most promos are curently in, all the promo sets need to in the datafiles in their own "edition", much as the McDonalds promos have their own eidition. And if you have any questions, please email me at emperor799@bellsouth.net

Robert is notoriously bad about responding to emails about the data files.
He's swamped these days and doing the best he can. If you post the issues
here, I make sure they get to Robert. Sending him the feedback at the email
address will also get the info to him. He usually just files it away until
he next works on those files, at which point he addresses problems that
have been flagged.

Robert's juggling two jobs right now plus a number of data file sets, so
he's REALLY busy. If anyone wants to take over any of hte games he's
handling right now, he'd probably be ecstatic. Just let him know!
