*sigh* you mean I have go and remember them all???
Let's see.... 1) Under "show composition profile", what determines what fields are shown there and can I change them? 2) Can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put Model Number in the Inventory fields/displays for Wizkids figures?? It's MUCH more useful than Release or some other fields currently there that are more appropriate for card games. I'll have to go re-read what I posted to find out what my other questions were... Just checked out the contest/survey and I have a couple suggestions:
1) It should be "Where did you HEAR about this giveaway" not "here" 2) Where it asks where you buy/sell singles, it should list convention dealers because that's really where I do 90% of my singles buying/selling. I chose local game store which accounts for about the other 10% OK, I DID think of a couple other questions, one I asked and never got an answer for and one I just thought of.... A) Is there ANYWHERE in the HeroClix files that indicates whether a figure is flying or not (i.e. type of movement? I suppose you'd have to add "swimming" as well, in addition to flying). I can't seem to find that information anywhere and I'd like to know under deck construction how many flying figures versus ground based figures I have. B) I know it's a 'dead' game, but is anyone working on Doomtown files? Thanks, Doc --- In cardvault@y..., "Edward Bolme" <edward@b...> wrote: > Heya. > > Sorry I haven't been here, but that's just been fixed. Do you want to change the contents of that window? > 2) Can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put Model Number in the Inventory > fields/displays for Wizkids figures?? Noted; will be done. > A) Is there ANYWHERE in the HeroClix files that indicates > type of movement? Not that I see. We'll get that fixed, too. As well as getting to promo figs listed. Thanks for the input. |

Well, I was working with Jim Williamson's Doomtrooper files when this
came up, but let me use an official type set for my example, the Magic the Gathering files. For Magic, the deck display columns are Color, Type, Cost, Power, Toughness. The Info columns include Cost White, Cost Black, etc. If I look at "Show Composition Profile..." for a Magic deck, I find I can check Color and Type from the deck display columns but NOT Cost (Basic cost), Power or Toughness. so while "Show Composition Profile..." could tell me how many White, Black, etc (Color) cards breakdown in four different ways (numerical, percengtage, 2 kinds of bar graph), I cannot get the same breakdown for Power or Toughness in "Show Composition Profile..." Those fields are not there. How can/could I change the available fields in "Show Composition Profile..." so I could get a breakdown on say, Power, or Toughness... POWER 0 1 2 3 4 --------------------------------------------------- 2 4 5 3 1 something like that. How can *I* define what I want to see a breakdown of in "Show Composition Profile..." Thanks, Doc --- In cardvault@y..., "Edward Bolme" <edward@b...> wrote: > > 1) Under "show composition profile", what determines what fields are > > shown there and can I change them? > > I'm not sure I understand the question. It will, however, go on the suggested features list. In the short term, however, if you find a display to be less than ideal, it is easy for us to change it. Chances are, if you don't find it helpful, others don't either, and we can work to make it more accessible for everyone. We can't know every game as well as its fans do, so we rely a lot on fan input for usability feedback. -Ed |

Let me ask a corrolary question then...
Say I am using the Card Authoring Kit to enter my own datafiles for let's say, Legend of the Burning Sands or On the Edge, something that hasn't been done yet. If it's NOT user-definable, when I make and add my own games, what determines if a field will show up on "Show Composition Profile..." or not then? Thanks, Doc --- In cardvault@y..., "Edward Bolme" <edward@b...> wrote: > > How can *I* define what I want to see a > > breakdown of in "Show Composition Profile..." > > At the moment, this is not user-definable.
