2nd Edition Datafile Support?

Simple question in two parts...

1. Is there a datafile floating around for 2nd edition 40K? My Google-Fu has failed me.

2. Assuming that the answer to 1 is "no" due to 2ed not being supported by the current incarnation of AB, is there an older version of AB available that does support 2nd edition that I can purchase?

Dang... I don't even have those rules! No reason the game system can't be in the current Army Builder 3.2+, just need someone to do a "new" datafile for the seriously older rules. How many races were there?

Well, we do have the last AB2.2 datafile on our website available from this page:

no telling what's in it at the moment since I don't even have AB2.2 anymore. It also mentions that some patches might be required - I think they were some of the ones Homer_S was working on prior to his working on the AB3.x side.

I believe that those are some mix of 3rd and 4th. Unless Chapter Approved stuff was also 2nd.

Well, that would be quite the project...thats for sure...

Angels of Death
Sisters of Battle
Space Wolves
Imperial Guard
Eldar
Orks
Chaos
Tyranids (including Genestealer Cults)
Assassins (4 different Assassin schools in a mini codex)
Heaps and Heaps of articles from White Dwarf

The most difficult part of this project would be finding all the various wargear cards from the White Dwarf magazines. I haven't purchased one in just about forever, but at the time of 2ed each month the WD would have some snazzy new add-on content for one or two of the GW games.

Believe it or not, I think I have a copy of ArmyBuilder 1.4 on CD. Should I put it in a museum case???

For AB version 3.x, head over to ab40k.org. In downloads is a user submissions area. You can probably put it there.

Egad! My mistake - I though the intent was a file that would run on AB2x - not a second edition WH40K file. That would actually be something very interesting to see. I will try to make sure that the download is validated forthwith...
