Hello all:

The hard drive I had HeroLab installed to went bad Firday. I had HeroLab installed on Drive I.
I just installed my new replacement hard drive and went to re-install HeroLab, however, the installer automatically installed to Drive C and won't let me install elsewhere.

I know that I have installed to other drives before (i.e. Drive I), but now it won't let me?

Is this due to traces of the old install? And Issue with the installer? Help please.

FWIW, a quick search through the forums suggests a number of people have been running into the same issue, although there are also posts as recently as January of this year where it "just works" with people setting the installation folder to another driver, although without command-line flags, you still have the data being stored on the C drive.

The issue seems to have resolved itself. How I have no idea.

I decided to go ahead and re-install to Drive C, figuring I'd have to get my License released before I could re-activate it.

When I was done, everything installed exactly where I'd wanted it to . . . ???

Thx for the info though.

{nods} Just to be comprehensive, this post discusses the command-line settings for establishing the data on a different drive/directory.
