It would be nice to have the default calendar date format match the current settings of the operating system.

I know that you can manually specify the format (in each realm), but I don't want to have to manually work out the format to use in the U.K. (or Europe) since we have day of month before name of month.

What usage are you referring to? There are places we show a real-world date which we can look at using the OS formats. But the majority of uses of dates are game dates which are using game calendars that don't have any relation to the OS date/time.

For example, in the "Begin Game Session" dialog, we show the "Session Times" which should be formatted for your local OS. We also show "In Game Calendar Dates" which are the game dates that don't correspond to the OS date/time.

Another place we show OS style dates is in the Reveal History list.

Do either of these locations show incorrectly compared to your OS settings?

I was referring to the single built-in "Gregorian" calendar for the Date snippets.

This becomes problematic to support, then, as we would have to have some sort of specialized logic for this one game calendar to query the OS for a date format and use that, translating into the date format that game calendars expect.

I live in England, therefore I'm used to DD/MM/YYYY. I'm going to be using that format in at least one of my games. Is there an easy way to show the date like that rather than MM/DD/YYYY?

And is there a way to remove the time stamp or at least hide it?
