Which are nifty... But... Is the intent of them to allow all races access to
the Imperial weapons section? Or should each race have access only to their own racial weapons? (Orks should have access to a subset of the impy list, I guess, but I can't see them with Assault Cannons...) Thanks for all the work, Colen. Chaos also has access to its own unique list. Everyone else uses their own racial list only. So no Dark Eldar Guass cannons or Necron battle cannons or IG Brightlances. This makes sense, although it still allows things like Khorne-dedicated vehicles with Noise Marine vehicle weapons, storm bolters for Chaos etc. Keith Hann -------------------------- eGroups Sponsor -------------------------~-~> eLerts It's Easy. Indeed, since orks for example can take looted vehicles why would they not have access to looted weapons? Furthermore said weapons also come with a BS category of 2, standard ork BS, whereas humans have a BS of 3. That said I've no problem should WD clarify that the unspecified weapons chart is humans, mutants and chaos only. Well, there's Frateris Militia and Hive Gangers - basically your generic 10-50 cultist-type units - they have BS 2. And yes, the rules in the WD have no such restriction on selection, but that's the intention, and I'm sure you'll be seeing an FAQ on it soon enough, so you might as well start playing that way. It does make sense for Orks to be able to loot imperial weapons. I imagine these rules wil be eventually designated "Opponents permission only". If that happens, you might as well cook up a few Ork vehicles with imperial weapons, since anything you field would need your buddies' permission anyways, regardless of what's on it. These are some of the vast assumptions I had to make, due to the appalling holes in the vehicle creation rules I assumed that everyone could get the normal list, and other races could also get their racial weapons. >Thanks for all the work, Colen. I think the idea is that Orks can't get higher than BS 2, and so can't get a targeter, in the same way that a targeter can't take your Dark Eldar above BS 4. Orks would just twin-link everything instead. BTW, as far as I can tell both the targeter and souped-up engines are completely useless, since in both cases there is a way to buy the desired level without ever applying an upgrade. Buying BS 3 + targeter is the same as buying BS 4, and upgrading from Lumbering to Agile back in the "Work Out Speed" section can be done without ever touching the souped up engines. You wouldn't even bother with lumbering. Hell, you could go straight to Fast. Keith Hann -------------------------- eGroups Sponsor -------------------------~-~> eLerts It's Easy. It's Fun. up to write: >----> Well... I just called GW, and they said that Ork's can't get targeter's. >Their justification, and I quote, "What kind of an Ork would USE a targeter?!?!" Yeah, you'd never see an Ork use equipment that belonged to someone else! Of all the races in the galaxy, they're the least likely to nick bits of enemy tanks and nail them together! I'm sure GW would never let them use another races weapons or equipment! <lie mode cancel> >Anyway... Oh, and they also clarified, that for the price discrepency's on the >twin-bolter and sonicblaster on the chaos list, to use the summar chart prices >(5 and 8, respectively).
