I agree with Russell on handling this via the unit within the data file instead of within the definition file. You can also use the "calc" attribute to calculate the stat value if it is unable to be changed via options and/or items. Otherwise, using options as Russell suggests is the appropriate method. If you want the adjusted data for the troops in a specific roster, then you need to utilize the public XML output generated by Army Builder.
