I have been using RW and have found that it has made dungeon exploring much easier for both me and for my players. However something that has got me stumped so I thought I'd ask the community.
How do you handle revealing secret/hidden doors?? I've imported my maps from either modules or from custom maps created using Dunjinni and they all have secret doors. Using the reveal tool to show the room the players are entering, reveals all the visible things in the room as well as any secret doors, etc. The only thing I can think of to handle this would be to have two maps, one with and one without secrets and switch between the two and reveal the same areas in both. Clunky. Wish that RW had a stamp tool of symbols that I could use to place specials onto a vanilla map. |

I created for some maps a player version (no hints on it) and a GM version. You could reveal / move pins to point out important things for the players. that way you also avoid cluttering the playermap with "non-relevant" pins

That might work, but if I use module maps, would still require me to redraw the whole thing without any secret/hidden doors. Guess I will just have to assume the high Perception Half-Elf sees all doors. :-)

Redraw the whole thing, isn't that what GIMP is for?

GIMP is a free alternative to Photoshop.
