How do you add a free outfit to the drop-down list on the gear tab?

Some days I don't know why I bother to chew through the restraints.

The gear item the drop down is on IS the free outfit.

Same way with anything, either replace it or use an eval script on a mechanic to add to the array rows.

Everyone, please remember, you can look at existing material using the editor. That way, you can study how something works, and figure this sort of thing out for yourself.

On the Gear tab in the Equipment, use the "New (Copy)" button, filter for "Clothes", and you'll see that there's a "Standard Clothing" option you can copy, so do so.

Then, if you study the selections there, you'll find that there's an array-based menu that stores lots of different clothing types.

Enforcer84 - so where I've described that information as being stored - is that a tag? Answer that, and you'll have the answer to your question.

I am looking at the standard clothing. I copied it and added a few new outfits to the array to test. but my copied clothes thing does not get used.

so I went to the Extend Thing tab, found my thing id but group Id has eluded me - gtype didn't work and there's not enough room for gtype.something. I'm assuming that this is the kind of thing the Extend Thing tab is for...but I may be wildly off base

So I'm poking

Enforcer, please put down the new hammer of tag extensions. This is not a nail, and you cannot hit it with this hammer. You need a different solution.

What did you enter for "replaces thing Id" on the right-middle?
