Hi folks,
i've built a really huge-NPC-Database für my DTE-Campaign. Unfortunately, my way of Sorting did'nt work out very well and i decided to reassign the NPCs to New Folders (=Char-lists) by a "Contained-by" relation. Moving about 400 NPC's into different Groups is, of course, a pain. So, is there a way to do this by a Batch-Process (either in RW or an external XML-Tool)? Thanks in Advance |

I don't know if you are allowed to export to XML, then import back into the same realm...
I don't know if RW would allow you to change the hierarchy of topics on the import either. But changing parents is fairly simple in XML, just move all the topics into the body of the element you want as the parent. You can definitely export and import to the same realm, it doesn't always work but in this case it might. Also note that RW has a rather troubling ability to ignore containment changes made in imports to existing topics on occasion. So if it fails once you might just try it again and have it succeed, do not ask me why but I've seen it.
