i need to look at some files with Archetypes anyway so i understand them better. Im coming from doing a bunch of D20 stuff, but converting to pathfinder just now. So i need to start looking what the archetypes look like in the file.

If you get that Spell-less Ranger class updated then post it back here or something.

I've added (somewhat unsuccessfully) the alternate Ranger Fighting Styles for it (Weapon & Shield, etc.). I'm having trouble making their feats only accessible for SpLsRangers who select that Style. I'm sure it is easy, but I haven't bothered trying to work it out since I know which ones I can take and it is just for me.

If I can get it working correctly then I'll try to post those.

I like Spell-less Ranger alternate class much more than the Skirmisher Archetype, personally!

There seem to be some bugs in both the ones on chiefweseal and the one from Paizo directly. Fir thing i noticed is that when chosing spell-less and going to two weapon fighting style, at 6th level improved two weapon fighting is missing from the bonus feats section.

Yes, that's what I 'fixed' in mine. And none of the other styles listed at the end of the pdf (Weapon & Shield, Crossbow, Mounted, Two-Handed, etc.) are in either of the available HL files.

I can share the fix, but it is quite a hack as it doesn't limit the choices based on which style you choose. It just makes all of the possible bonus feats for all styles available. You must reference the pdf to ensure you choose only the legal ones for your style.

Im still quite new at editing Pathfinder files, so yeah, if you could share it, ill start with the hack, and then move to a real fix. Thanks!

As mentioned before I did the one from KQ#11 not the much later version that came out. So I couldn't have coded what I didn't know about.

Here is the fixed version of the Spellless Ranger that picks up the 6th and 10th level bonus feats. I will send an updated file to cheifweasel also.

Oh I know. Just saying that's why they are not their is all. I used a smiley face! I never got around to the updated version as I turned the whole class into a archetype where I think it works better anyways.

if they didnt have archetypes, id probably work on turning the whole class into an archetype too. Would you be willing to share your archetype, so I could see how you did it? (still having trouble with doing archetypes)

Cool. Somebody over on the Paizo boards used this on an NPC in the Reign of Winter AP. She has a low Wis, but was a normal Ranger. No chance of getting spells, as well as not really being able to take advantage of any archetypes that lose spells, since they have many Wis based abilities she doesn't really get. I think i will convert her to this class as well.
