Hi,
First off, if this in the wrong section I'm sorry and please move it to proper forum. Anyway, I've decided to give file authoring a data set for Savage Worlds Space 1889 a go. I've figured out how to make the different parts of the file, like the feats and weapons. My question is, how do I put all of these parts together into one import file? Thanks -Erich |

Well, if it means anything that one is on my to-do list, but I won't have it ready right away. But if you want to put something together sooner, the best way I have found is, in the Editor, keep it all in one .user file. So File -> Save as... -> 1889.user, for example. If you want to package the file into a .hl file, though, from Hero Lab go to Tools -> HL Export and that will let you make it into a .hl file (which is useful for folks on different platforms or who might not know where to put a .user file or if you have multiple files you want to package into a single file.)
There are certainly other tips I can give, if you like, or if that didn't answer your question, just let me know. Happy to help out any other folks interested in this, although no guarantees I can give the right answer! Lenny Zimmermann Metairie, LA, USA Data files authored (please let me know if you see any issues with any of these if you have/use them): Official (In the downloader) 50 Fathoms, Deadlands: Hell On Earth, Deadlands: Noir, East Texas University, Necessary Evil (requires Super Powers Companion), Pirates of the Spanish Main, Space 1889 (original file by Erich), Tour of Darkness, Weird War II, Weird Wars: Rome Coming Eventually Evernight (LWD has completed their review but I have some fixes to make first... although Pinnacle mentioned this might get an overhaul to SWADE so I may just wait for that first. If you just HAVE to have this now, though, just PM me) |

Thanks for the info!
I've been meaning to do this for a while now. Guess I'll see how it goes. -Erich |
