I added a buch of skills and now when I try to add skill points I get the error "identity tag does not exist for thing/pick newskill". My new dat file compiles with not problem. The skill is added, shows the correct skill modifications, but when you try to increase the skill points you get the above error. Any help will be appreciated.

While trying to figure out if the skill error was some thing I could fix or some thing beyond my control. I noticed that after adding a skill from the Add Additional Skill option, the user is not given a way to remove the added skill. A delete option would be a nice feature.

Does the problem persist if you recompile and reload the data files, or does it only happen sometimes (for example, just after splicing in the skill)? -- Colen McAlister (colen@wolflair.com) Chief Engineer, Lone Wolf Development http://www.wolflair.com/ |

The problem happens every time after recompiling, reloading the data files, restarting HL and rebooting computer. I just made a new test Dat skill file and encountered the same problem. I have not tried all the combination but the problem occures after I select race, alignment, class, feat, and then add a new skill and try to increase the skill points.
Let me know if you need more information. /Scott |

Thinking the problem may be compuer related, I tried running the skill Dat file on my laptop. Still same problem, I tried adding skill points after loading without selecting any other options and did not receive the error message. The problem did not occure until I added a class, I tried a couple classes and the error happened with all the classes I tried.
Hope this helps! /Scott |

Can you email me the file that causes the errors? Please email it to me at colen@wolflair.com.
