Hello! I figured I would ask this question here since
they are moving. I just installed and registered CardVault. Now, I want to install it somewhere else (different directory and drive). Will that cause a reset/failure of the license or as long as it is on the same PC it is fine? And, to extend that, say I install it onto a USB drive so I can take it to work. At work I will install again and put it in the same location (same drive letter). Will this work with the secondary license or will it still think it is the first license and not allow it to start? Thanks. P.S. Still looking for Ani-Mayhem files. If no one does, I'll make them from what I have/find. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! If you just move it from one directory to another on the same computer, you should be fine, with no relicensing required. The only thing you should watch out for, I think, is that the installer won't know about the new location, so when you upgrade it'll offer to install into the old directory first. >And, to extend that, say I install it onto a USB drive >so I can take it to work. If you install Card Vault on a USB hard disk and move it between multiple computers, Card Vault will get confused (because it will load itself up and find that its license in invalid, due to being on a different computer). If you just copy the installer to the USB hard disk, go to work, and then install it there and use the secondary license, you should be fine. Does that answer your question? >P.S. Does that answer your question? Yep, pretty much. I just wanted to make sure. The reason I wanted to install it on the USB drive was to ensure all the data I edit/download is stored there and I do not have to worry about copying it, bringing it home, etc. > As far as I know, no "ani-mayhem" data files have been produced by > anyone. > Sorry. If you do decide to start some, let us know if you need any help. Thanks. I will definitely get it going. It may go slowly but I don't think anyone else will mind. And, why don't I get these as emails? I have checked my settings, all my other yahoo groups work...Oh well, I'll check some more. Yahoo! That should also be fine. As long as you don't do anything like reinstall windows / format the hard disk / throw your computer out of the window / whatever, you can install it wherever you like. >And, why don't I get these as emails? I have checked my settings, >all my other yahoo groups work...Oh well, I'll check some more. Yeah, looks like your settings are correct. Weird... you're the third person in a week that's having problems of some sort with yahoogroups. Hopefully they get their act together soon... I'll try to refrain from doing all the above. > Hopefully they get their act together soon... Same here. Colen, thanks for the replies. Yahoo!
