I Created a 1st level Paladin Werebear and the program made it so I had a +15/+10 and my DM said that I was way overpowering as I was using Hero Labs 3.5 so what am I doing wrong?:eek :

It looks like you have placed your werebear in hybrid form which drastically increases his strength. What attack bonuses are you expecting?

Actually, I see the problem now. The Monster Manual entry indicates a lower attack bonus for the greataxe because it's treating it like a secondary attack (-5) while the claw is the primary. HL is treating the axe like the primary so there's no deduction. HL is providing the correct numbers, but if you want to use it as the secondary attack you'll have to manually adjust the numbers. I'll give some thought to finding a way around that in the future.

Also, the were- templates add Racial Hit Dice. Your abilities will go up as you are effectively higher level. I don't know what your DM was thinking allowing a 1st- level werebear, but HeroLab is reporting correctly for the most part.

I guarantee you that the 3.5 statblock is wrong. Manufactured weapons are never secondary. If you have natural attacks and manufactured attacks the manufactured is primary and the natural attacks are secondary.

Statblock mistakes are often actually. Paizo & Pathfinder often had LOTS of mistakes in statblocks over the years. The mistakes shrunk big time once they started using HL to generate statblocks actually.

The biggest mistakes you will see is in size modifiers, skill points, and number of feats.

It's generally a given in the online community that every sample character in every one of the books is wrong in some way
