Just check the authoring kit wiki after about 6 months and no changes. We really need some documentation in order to have user created content.

Are you asking really for the authoring kit? That is used to make new game systems like Star Wars d6. It's not used for editing an existing game system like Pathfinder.
For a game system like Pathfinder you use the Editor. After starting the editor you can go to help and it's updated more often. I looked into using the authoring kit to create support for a new game but the documentation is virtually non existent. That is, I own the authoring kit. Documentation needed.

In that case I would advise looking at savage worlds game system. You can fully see all the structural files in that game system. You can see how things are done for that game and it would give working examples.

My suggestion is to pick a game you know and love, preferably something with pretty straightforward rules, and go from there. Once you understand how to scripting engine works, its really quite elegantly designed. All that said, I'm happy to provide what advice I can to anyone who is looking to get started on a project. Edit: This thread has is pretty useful, too, along with the authoring kit forum itself: http://forums.wolflair.com/showthread.php?t=21688 |
