What I do not like about HLO is that I cannot save or roll back/revert a character to a previous save. I like to plan out my characters and spend XP or whatever to advanced them then roll-back to a previous save and continue as normal. When you are messing around with multiple variables, its hard to keep track of what changes have been made. Have it so we can save and load characters.

When I do this, I make a duplicate of the character and that is the one I mess around with. That way the original character is ready to play and the duplicate can be used as a map for levelling.

Exactly this ^^^

You can clone a character at any time, give it a name (e.g. "Fred - Roadmap"), and evolve it for the future. It's the exact same approach as cloning a character in HLC by copying the file is resides in and then modifying the copy.

I'm doing that right now with one of Ravingdork's 19th level PF2E characters, because HLO barfed when I tried to enter the data from his character sheet, and I'm trying to figure out why HLO doesn't like it. Something to do with skill increases, I think.
