I tried to search for this feature request, but couldn't find it.
I'd like to use the back and forward buttons on my mouse to navigate as I do with web pages. The web browser feel of RW is almost there, but this has actually bugged me since I started using the program. If I could use the back/forward buttons on my mouse, rather than having to hunt for the ones on screen, that would be great. |

Have you mapped some buttons on your mouse to do the back/forward?
Or is it a particular model of mouse which has a driver which sets this up automatically? |

Windows (starting back in ME and 2000) automatically maps mouse buttons 4 and 5 to browser back and forward commands using the same mechanism it uses for the media keys on some keyboards that control volume, playback, and such.
As always, applications choose whether or not to listen for those commands and drivers can override the default mappings. I turned it off on my mouse (a Logitech MX518) for a while because I got annoyed by accidentally hitting those buttons; they sit right above your thumb.
