Currently if you want to have a campaign journal as part of your realm the DM has to do it. (There is a great video on how to set this up, but still the DM has to do it).
Could we have the ability that the players could keep a Journal and somehow sync to the Realm if the player has a GM copy of realm works? Or some mechanism that will allow this? |

If I remember correctly, that feature is among the "big three" of things they currently work on: http://www.wolflair.com/realmworks/f...f-realm-works/ Supporting Calendar Campaigner Tools: Realm Works, Campaign Cartographer 3+ and Add-ons, MapTools Games: home brew world, Lord of the Rings (CODA), Shadowrun, Earthdawn Last edited by Greebo; July 18th, 2017 at 05:50 AM. At present, and by design, only one person can "own" a Topic (and thus update it).
In general, the GM (Realm Owner) "owns" all Topics that are shared with the Players. Player notes are on the agenda (someday; no idea of when), but even then it is not clear whether they will be able to be shared with other players. |

This is one of the biggest failures of RW IMO. Player diaries that link into the realm would be so huge I cannot even begin to express how big it would be.

@Greebo:
I think I agree with you. Vargr Deputy Calendar Champion Legend has it, that the Tarrasque is a huge fighting beast, perpetually hungry. Sleet entered History when he managed to get on the back of a Tarrasque only to be ridden out of History shortly after. Using Realm Works, Worldographer (Hexographer 2), LibreOffice, Daz3D Studio, pen & paper for the realm World of Temeon and the system LEFD - both homebrewed. |

Don't really want to get into this can of worms, and I do really want custom calendars, but player journals would serve to solve one of the most frequently reported problems with RW.
Players who don't use it. A journal that linked into the rest of the revealed realm would inevitably be like any other thing with links. We're curious creatures and we like following links. This would lead the player(s) to exploring the realm that the GM has put so much time and effort into. Which could not help but to improve everyone's enjoyment of the game. So if I was ranking features I wanted first it would definitely be player journals. my Realm Works videos https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZU...4DwXXkvmBXQ9Yw |

Well, I would further detail this to say... "Character Journals".
Not sure how others are set up in their games, but my players have several Player Characters. It would be much better to have the Journals separate accordingly. This will help the players keep track of what each character knows (or doesn't know). Without this feature, my players (who all have a copy of the players addition) abandoned RW players additon within a month of its release years ago. So, IF separated by PC, then from a player standpoint I think this moves to top of list.. IMO And like others I STILL hope for Calendars, but have long since given up on LW to do that and have continued on with other tools.
