I'm currently GMing Rise of the Runelords and using the HL encounter pack for it. I recently got an iPad, but I can't figure out how to access the Encounter from the iPad. I know that I can import any given encounter on PC, save it as a .por, and open it on the iPad. But skipping that kind of tedium is exactly why I bought the RotRL encounter pack in the first place. From what I know, there is no way to access those encounters from the iPad. I have been creating them all on my computer and saving them to my dropbox. Which then shows up on my iPad. Takes some prep work to save a few encounters ahead of time, but it hasn't been too bad.
Though I wish the iPad version was a bit more robust sometimes. It has such a better interface, in my experience, than the PC version. |

Robustness of the iPad version is completely based on the hardware it's on. While there are high end tablets, none will be as powerful as an actual PC. And the ones that are "combos" don't really count as just a tablet in that sense.

What I'd like to see is the availability of the "tablet" interface on Windows, especially if it can adapt to landscape orientation. I'd certainly use it on my touchscreen laptop when I'm playing instead of DMing.
