please help me understand why "pharaonic guardian" is not under it's name in bestiary 5 (n-s).stock as it should be, and why i am not able to find it -- where would it be? thanks. |

Why look stock portfolio by stock portfolio? Gamemaster...Show Encounter Builder gives you access to every stock portfolio (and regular portfolio) in that folder.

I'm sorry, but we don't have any better tools for figuring this out than to open lots of portfolios, and the October release is coming soon, so we're very busy right now.

So the answer is to either use some sort of script to search through all the files, or manually load each file until you find it :-)

If I open hero lab and click on the Background Tab.
Then go the Race field, and click that. In the search box, I type 'Phara' that displays the Pharaonic Guardian in the bottom quarter of filtered races. That's how I would select a race, if I were building a monster within a portfolio. Going with Game Master > Encounter Builder... Using the search field, and again entering 'Phara' displays the creature as the third from the bottom (although I could scroll further down) creature, on my display. I generally only use the Encounter Builder, when I've purchased a bestiary/hero-lab-file for an adventure and they've included npcs/creatures in this format. Numerous NPCs (not even monsters) from Rappan Athuk can be found this way, but they're not 'races' from the 'Background Tab'. |
