Hello,
I skimmed the FAQs. I apologize if I missed the answer to this, if so please just link me to it. I run AD&D2e and am wondering which is the 'best' option to choose when setting up Hero Lab demo for best compatibility? I'm an older gamer, I have pretty much every resource (legal hardcopy) for 2e so have no intention of "upgrading" my RPG at this point. This, and realm works look like amazing tools and I would like to check them out! |

There is no official support for AD&D 2e, nor is there expected to be.
There is currently no community support for AD&D 2e. The closest you can come, officially, is the d20 system which is based on the OGL content for D&D 3.5. If you want to go through the time and trouble to learn the ins and outs of the authoring kit, you can always design your own 2e system. But this would be a long-term project, neither quick nor easy. |

I did create a 2e file for personal use but its not done. At this point I don't have the publishers permission to share it, so your only hope is to scratch build it like I did in the authoring kit. Keep in mind that you can get away with making it "for personal use only" but unless you get publisher permission sharing it is not an option.
RavenX Pronouns: She/Her Please do not PM me to inquire about datafiles I coded "for personal use" such as Exalted, World of Darkness, AD&D, or Warhammer 40K Roleplaying. I appreciate your interest, but I do not own the Intellectual Property rights to these game systems. Nor do I have permission from any of the Publishers to distribute the data files. As such, I cannot distribute the work I have done with community on these files. They are "for personal use" only. Thank you. I am far too busy these days to answer emails. If you message me here there is no guarantee I will get back to you at all. |
