I'm bringing this to the forums to make sure that what i'm trying to achieve is legal. Since there where no changes or updates to a bug report I did 3 months ago, I might be wrong.
PC is a Scion of Humanity Aasimar, with Racial Heritage (Elf), Summoner (Synthesist). I don't get the Elf Favored Class Bonus, -1 rounds to summon Eidolon. Do you guys think this is a valid option? Workaround is changing Race to Elf, select the Favored Bonus, and back to Aasimar. Want to hear your thoughts =) |

It seems like the Racial Heritage Feat isn't giving access to the other race's Favored Class Options at all, which appears to me to be an error. I'd report it as a bug.

I checked and it is not giving the favored class options. This seems to be a bug. Anybody report it?

Thanks for replying =)
I reported my specific case about 3 months ago, got a 'looking into it', and nothing further since then, but I know LWD had their focus on the Content Market for Realm Works at that time. |

This changes the fundamentals of how favored class options have to be implemented in Hero Lab. It is not a minor change, and we have not had a chance to rebuild the favored class system yet.

Thanks for that bit of crucial information Mathias, from my end it seemed simple enough, like "have the Favored Class Bonus drop down to check for subtypes, and voila". But I have no idea of what lies below what I can see.
In the meantime, using the workaround is only one minute spent whene I gain a level, so no big deal. The most annying part of this, for me, is always having a red flag for something illegal, but I'm getting used to that =P |

I've also recently come across this problem but with the Nagaji Alchemist FCB on a human. I was looking into the editor and each class has a option to choose which FCBs apply to it.
Unfortunately I can't modify the alchemist class so I cant try to add the Nagaji FCB to it. Interesting to learn that there might be more going on under the hood @Mathias. I can't seem to get the workaround to work either. I change race to nagaji, set the FCB, then, when I go back to human, it defaults to HP. Is there any potential timeline for the fix or is it get to it when there's a chance? |
