A new release for Realm Works is now available! This release has a number of enhancements, and should also fix a number of issues that some of you were encountering.
One minor enhancement I want to flag is the “Expand Entire Hierarchy” and “Collapse Entire Hierarchy” options, which have been added to the top of the navigation page. These options will perform a full expand/collapse of all levels within the hierarchy tree. While this isn't a full solution, we think this change should be an incremental improvement in the handling of the topic hierarchy in the navigation pane. Additionally, it's something we could do relatively quickly without negatively impacting our efforts on the big priorities of Content Market and Web support right now. A full solution is still on our todo list! If you still have issues following this new update, please update your support ticket by sending a follow-up email or send us a new bug report. To see the full list of changes and enhancements, please take a look at the Release Notes available within the product. |

Perhaps I'm missing something, but collapse all levels doesn't collapse the top level. When I select "Collapse Entire Hierarchy" I still have the menu expanded as, e.g.,
EVENTS - Event List —Events List 1 —Events List 2 - Quest —Quest 1 —Quest 2 ... PEOPLE I would expect to see: EVENTS PEOPLE |

Also, if I open a new tab and manually collapse everything so only the top containers are shown (Events, People, Groups, Places, Things, and Other) and then select "Expand Entire Hierarchy", nothing happens. Nothing is expanded.

The GROUPINGS are completely distinct from the hierarchy shown WITHIN each grouping. You can control whether the groupings are expanded/collapsed via the menu associated with each grouping, as outlined in the release notes.
There are times users will want to expand/collapse the groupings without touching the topic hierarchy within. There will also be times users want to expand/collapse the hierarchy without touching the groupings. So this distinction is important for usability. Hope this clarification helps... |

Thanks Rob, got it now. Not intuitive for me, but now that I know where to go, I can see the value of treating them separately.

I need to try this out more Just spent 2 minutes yesterday on it, and it seems not to be available on the Mechanics section.

It all seems to be working correctly with a quick check just now. If it's not working for you, there's probably more subtle going on with your situation that we need to get a handle on, so please submit a bug report with as much detail as possible. If anyone else has problems with articles and the expand/collapse logic, please submit a bug report (and optionally post details here, as well). Thanks!
