Skipping the update

Is there any way to get the updater to skip? It seems like it always wants to update right as the game is starting.

I just play off-line if that is the case. The only issue is when you want to sync databases to get the realm on a laptop instead of the desktop you updated the information on. Sometimes the timing is bad.
