Is there a way or will there be a way to build ships and vehicles for the Serenity game?

This is on my to-do list, but I have not had the chance to implement it yet.

I'm planning on running a game soon and the ability to construct vehicles in HL would be greatly appreciated.

Its been awhile and with the change in the system, is anyone able to add vehicles to Serenity? by chance or modify them as a character choice ie Character, NPC, Ship maybe?
