I have a Wizard 5/Fighter 4/ Eldritch Knight 5.
As I added the Eldritch levels to the Wizard, I am now able to cast two 5th level spells, because of being a 10th level arcane caster. But I am unable to choose the Pseudodragon as a familiar, because it tells me I have to be a Level 7 character, to be able to choose it. Is this correct, or a mistake in the software?! At least, having an option to add it anyway (not regarding prereqs) would be nice. Last edited by Dryder; September 23rd, 2010 at 12:08 AM. |

I'm missing something.
You are Wizard 5, why do you think you should be Wizard 7 with EK levels? Do you have Improved Familiar? You need to be a 7th level Wizard (you are not) and have Improved Familiar to take Psuedo. If you can have it because "DM Says So" then add two levels of Wizard, add the Improved Familiar, add Psuedo, then remove the levels and the feat and you should be able to retain it. |

I have Improved Familiar an thought that those EK-levels added to wizard would be enough to qualify for that familiar.
Obviously that's not the case. Anyway, adding Levels and deleting them after the choice of Pseudodragon was made did the trick. Thanx for that hint! |

Though if I'm correct your pseudodragon won't level as it's based of Wizard Level.
I could be wrong |
