I think I've isolated exactly what's going wrong. It's not an issue with your registry. It appears to be a problem based on what you were last doing with HL before you exited, with HL not properly handling it when re-launched. Now we need to figure out how to properly fix this bug, which will probably take a few hours. I'm hopeful we'll be able to get this sorted out either tonight or tomorrow, at which point we can get a new update released that fixes this bug.

Thanks for the help in navigating us to the source of the problem and for your patience while we get this addressed.
