Greetings,

We just flew back from Origins 2007 last night, so I figured I would
take this opportunity to provide a quick report on the show.

We did hundreds of demos in the booth over the course of the show,
and players were typically gushing after seeing Hero Lab in action.
Needless to say, our sales were excellent. :-)

One invaluable benefit of Origins was that we heard all sorts of
suggestions for new features and enhancements during the course of
the demos. We've compiled that list and will be using it to guide our
priorities for future updates. I'm going to start a SEPARATE thread
to solicit further suggestions from everyone here on the forums.
Please post your ideas on the SEPARATE thread (i.e. not here) so we
can integrate all your suggestions as well.

We met with about a dozen different publishers during the show. It
seems virtually everyone now wants HL to support their RPG, which is
awesome. For publishers we've spoken to at length in the past, we
were also able to nail down a lot of the details that have been
delaying the signing of licenses. It's amazing how much easier it is
to discuss those details in person than via email. :-) Consequently,
we should have some new announcements before and/or at GenCon.

Our meetings with both White Wolf and Green Ronin went exceptionally
well. Both companies were really happy with how the data files for
their respective games are evolving. We also got a lot of questions
resolved regarding the details of how the new game systems will be
managed and launched. The net result is that we're on track for
release of initial World of Darkness data files at GenCon, with
Mutants & Masterminds data files releasing in the latter half of September.

We'll be releasing a new update of HL later this week that will
officially include the WoD preview, so those of you who missed Free
RPG Day and are jonesing to take a peek will finally be able to do
so. This update will also include fixes to a few bugs that have been
reported since the last release.

I think that covers it. If I've forgotten something, just ask. I've
barely been home 12 hours, I'm exhausted, and my body clock is all
messed up (3 hours time change there and back). So it's quite likely
I've missed something....

Thanks, Rob
