How do you create new skill categories (i.e. Craft, Knowledge, Perform, Profession)?

I meant to make a new skill category like the Craft, Knowledge, etc. skill categories. Not add a new skill in the existing categories.

You can name any skill anything you want. You can add description text that describes the category however you want.

I think he's asking about a new SkillCat tag, Mathias. Unfortunately, you can't create a new one of those.

Is the intention that you be able to for example, foreach all skills in this new category? Or make them all class skills in one go, or something along those lines? You could probably rig something up with Custom tags for that.

What I am trying to do is to add a category of skills (lets call them Construction skills for example). Then to be able to add new skills in the editor and to choose the Construction category like you choose Craft/Knowledge/Perform/Profession categories.

Not sure of this is the same for skills, but on gear, you can create a new category, but it wont show up on the display when you load the character.

Yes, as I said, unfortunately you can't define new SkillCat tags.

Bit of thread necromancy here, but is this still the case? That one cannot create new SkillCat tags?
