I purchased HL to manage characters in my campaign set in FFG's Midnight Campaign Setting. I knew I'd have to do some coding in the editor for this purpose and that was totally OK by me. I've managed to figure out how to add races, feats, languages, classes, spells, special abilities and the like (HL is pretty awesome!) but I'm struggling at this point because of the Magic system being totally different. It's a spell point system and access to magic in the world is gained by taking feats.
PLEASE HELP! Signed, Humble new to HL but big fan DM tearing his hair out |

I know absolutely nothing about "FFG's Midnight Campaign Setting". That said, if its a point-based magic system, can you use the psionic mechanics in HL for it?
As for feats providing access to magic, it is possible to attach a class of spells for use by a character, but I would have to know more about what you're trying to do in order to help. Can you provide a specific example of something you need help with? |

Closest thing you'll be able to do is use spells as psionic powers to manage spell points.
RavenX Pronouns: She/Her Please do not PM me to inquire about datafiles I coded "for personal use" such as Exalted, World of Darkness, AD&D, or Warhammer 40K Roleplaying. I appreciate your interest, but I do not own the Intellectual Property rights to these game systems. Nor do I have permission from any of the Publishers to distribute the data files. As such, I cannot distribute the work I have done with community on these files. They are "for personal use" only. Thank you. I am far too busy these days to answer emails. If you message me here there is no guarantee I will get back to you at all. |
