If you are not familiar with the Warlock class from the book COmplete Arcane, you might as well stop reading...
I am just starting to think through what it would take to implement the Warlock class and was wondering how the experts here on the forum would go about implementing Invocations. Invocations are similar to spells only in as much as they provide a special ability to an arcane class. There the similarities stop and the differences are too numerous to go into here. So, if you are familiar with this class, I would be greatly interestred in hearing any ideas you may have on how to do this. |

I'd start with a search through this forum - I remember that there's been questions about the warlock before, so you may be able to get tips or find someone who will send you their copy.

The warlock invocations can be modelled as 'custom abilities' - at level 1 you have one ability, at level 6 you gain another, at level 11 you gain a third, etc. The lesser, greater and dark invocations should require a certain number of levels of Warlock before you can add them - this would be a simple pre-requisite requiring 6 levels of warlock for Lesser invocations, 11 for Greater and 16th for Dark.
