Subject: ABHelper - GUI for ABUndef, ABDef, and ABExport

Hi all, this is for all of you who dislike having to open up the
command prompt every time you want to convert a datadef file to text,
to convert a text file to a datadef file, or to compile a group of
datafiles with ABExport.

ABHelper is a pretty simple program and I think I've ironed out the
major bugs, but please let me know if you come across something I
missed.

I've copied two zip files into the following folder:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/armybu...iles/ABHelper/

The first is a Setup zip file, which you can download, unzip, then
run a Setup program. I recommend installing ABHelper into the same
folder your ABCreator programs are located.

The second is a Source zip file, containing all of the ABHelper
Visual Basic source files. Feel free to modify them for your own
purposes, or just let me know if you want something changed.

Again, let me know if you have any questions, comments, etc. Hope
you enjoy them!

Mark

I'm probably retarded, b/c I ran the install program and it said it needed
to reboot my computer, and then that it might not complete installation b/c
it was rebooting, and I can't seem to find this AB Helper program.

The upside is that, earlier today, I just created batch files to run abdef
and abundef for the current set of files i'm working on, and that works
pretty darn quickly, so I'll stick with that for now.

Weird... I've never dealt with the VB setup packager before... what
version of Windows are you running? I'll see if I can figure out what the
problem is.

My first instinct is that you may need administrator right to install
it... just a guess. It works on my NT at work, but then I've got admin
rights.
