I'm happy to announce that Hero Lab V1.2 is now available for
download. This new version includes a bunch of stuff for everyone. Here are some of the highlights: Core Product: 1. Chooser forms and dynamic forms now show title bars, allowing them to be moved around. 2. Reworked tooltips and mouse-over behaviors for a consistent experience. 3. Visibility of summary windows can now be controlled via the "View" menu. 4. Text summary output is now able to be generated, with support for plain text, HTLM, and BBCode. You can access this via the "File" menu. World of Darkness: 1. This release featuers a massively enhanced preview of the upcoming World of Darkness release. You can now play with just about everything. There are a few things missing in this new preview, but not a whole lot. 2. A User Manual is now available that provides a walk-through of all the WoD functionality. d20 System: 1. It's now possible to generate statblock output in plain text, HTML, and BBCode formats. 2. All remaining Psionic classes and prestige classes are now present. Psionic items will follow in a subsequent release. Please note that a few of the classes have rough edges that will get resolved in a future update. 3. Added a dossier to print out your Journal entries. You can also output the Journal to plain text. 4. All choose forms that allow adding of restricted amounts of picks (e.g. feats, classes, spells, etc.) now display the number of remaining choices in the title area. 5. Character sheet output has been revised and improved. This includes weapon and armor info expanding as necessary instead of being cutoff at times. 6. On spell printouts, spell details and effects will no longer be cut off at the edge of the page. They now flow onto the next line instead. 7. New macros have been added that make the writing of common scripts simpler and more intuitive. Editor: 1. The Bootstraps form now has a "Choose" button that lets you view and select the bootstrap target from a convenient list of things. 2. Added a "Find Thing" button on the Eval, Eval Rule, and Prereq script forms. This lets you quickly locate a thing and reference it via the script. For a complete list of all the changes and enhancements to the product, please see the readme.txt file installed with the new release. Data file changes will be outlined in the data file FAQ for the game system. May the dice be with you.... --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rob Bowes (rob@wolflair.com) (408) 927-9880 Lone Wolf Development www.wolflair.com |
