We intentionally raised the minimum length to three characters with the new name indexing engine. The reasons were (a) performance gains with the new engine by setting the minimum to three and (b) we couldn't think of any situation where users would realistically want to index on two-character names. We obviously were wrong on (b). So we'll get this changed in an upcoming release.
The crash bug is a completely separate issue. We'll be investigating it shortly. |

Hmmm..if the performance gains are significant by setting the minimum to three, can it be an option to set the lower limit in preferences?

You won't notice it on the desktop. It will only make a difference on the web, where everybody will be working through the server at the same time, so an increase across multiple simultaneous actions can have an aggregate impact. We've talked through the situation on this end, and we have a plan to deal with it on the web.

@Liz
Ah - well, that explains it then - it was sent through the automated crash tool. No worries then :-) Vargr Deputy Calendar Champion Legend has it, that the Tarrasque is a huge fighting beast, perpetually hungry. Sleet entered History when he managed to get on the back of a Tarrasque only to be ridden out of History shortly after. Using Realm Works, Worldographer (Hexographer 2), LibreOffice, Daz3D Studio, pen & paper for the realm World of Temeon and the system LEFD - both homebrewed. |
