Can we put a sticky note in each discussion or somewhere easily found that explains where .dat and .stock files are located? Every once in awhile I need to add a file to the folder and I can never remember where it's located. I search the forum for awhile before I finally stumble on where the folder is located. I am going to make an alias of it now, but I'm sure it would really help others who are roaming the "Search this Forum" dark, dank dungeon of worthless searches.

As the location is different for OS (i.e. Windows vs Mac) one answer is not valid.

You can always find the “data” folder containing the user, dat, stock files by going to the Tools menu within Hero Lab and choosing Explore Folders->Program Data Folder.

Hero Lab Resources:
Pathfinder - d20pfsrd and Pathfinder Pack Setup
3.5 D&D (d20) - Community Server Setup
5E D&D - Community Server Setup
Hero Lab Help - Hero Lab FAQ, Editor Tutorials and Videos, Editor & Scripting Resources.

Actually, it is easy. You have directions for both labeled appropriately.

The problem is there are various combinations. It's not as simple as windows vs mac, it's windows 7 vs windows 10 vs windows windows XP as potentials. As well, it depends upon the GAME SYSTEM in that top level folder as well. The easiest way is to just do exactly what Shadow said, each individual USER who needs a specific set of files(or are looking for ones that already exist on that machine:

Tools->Explore Folders->Game System Data Folder.

Now that you/they have the right folder open for the game they are playing, copy/paste from email/dropbox, etc into that folder and restart.
