If my custom monster has a special poison that attacks Str for 3 rounds 1d2 Str damage and requires 1 DC 12 Fortitude save for cure, how do I add that in the Editor?

I would download my Adjustment addon that has the ability to add a poison with variable values. Take the script apart as it just sets abValue variables on a existing Racial Ability that Mathias created.

abValue's don't even need a script on the bootstrap you can set tag Value.? where ? is your numeric amount.

You can add it in the editor as a Special Ability, then just add it to the monster. If you want to have the poison show up for the actual attack you will need to add it to the script of the attack.

LOL. I don't really understand what either one of you just posted...I take that back, I understand a little bit. However a tuturial on this or a step by step would be helpful :-)

Wish I had the spare time to give step by step. Would be fun but I don't.

Best I can say is to follow the link I posted above and find about a .user file I created. It lets you add a Natural Weapon: Poison, STR adjustment that sets values on the boostrapped Thing to do what you wish.

As its a normal .user file you can open it in the editor and see how I did it and from their extrapolate what you would need to do for the same thing. I usually do an ok job on my comments depending on how rushed I am.

Or as Cheifweasel said just create a whole new Racial Ability and simply type in the text area the info above and then Boostrap that to your race.

Both ways get you to the same general place.

What does the term "Bootstrap" mean? How do I Bootstrap something to my Race?

Bootstrap means to attach one thing to another. When you select something in the editor, there are a variety of buttons in the upper right. One of them is Bootstrap. Click on that and hit the Add a bootstrap button, then enter the Unique ID of the thing you want to attach to your race. That way when your race is added, whatever things you bootstrapped will come with it.
