My magician has gained the Summon Ally spell, so I figured that I would add examples of what he could summon to his sheet as Allies.

Adding an Ally is not problem, and configuring it as a Creature is no problem, but the program is giving me a validation error: "Human: This selection is not permitted (all effects are ignored)".

I can't find any place where I've selected Human for it. Am I overlooking something, or should I report this as a bug?

I'm not sure, but when I was making the High-Space files, I ran into the same thing when I tried to code something and it would pop up with that error. I think it has to do with what is aloud and a timing issue. Not sure, I was never able to over come the error so I went a different route. Not sure why it does that, but it is internal to the code. CapeCrusader will have to answer that question. Not unless zarlor has the answer, which he might. Also I think for allies to work right you need to have an edge to use it properly.

It's a known bug in Hero Lab itself (I've seen it in Shadowrun, too, since behind the scenes, that uses the same method to have "Human" set as the default race in the chooser, but leave a way to override that default for fixed-race minions). The workaround is to switch characters to the character that's having the problem, then switch back - you shouldn't ever get the error message again. There's some test or step that's not being executed on minions until you visit them - then, the step is performed, and there's no longer a problem after that.

Is this still a bug? The work around doesn't seem to work...I'm ignoring for now, but wondering if I'm doing something wrong.
