The Licensing Server is down according to the error message. Send them an email at the support account. However, you'll get an auto reply that they will get back to you within 3 days... ugh.

Really not good as I need the app for a game session tomorrow. It only runs in demo mode on both my PC and iPad. Rats.

I have the same issue after updating to 6.1h. I tried rolling back to 6.1g and 6.1f and neither of those would activate either. I assume the error is server-side.

Yeah, updating to 6.1h has fucked up Hero Lab and everything is in demo mode. How do we back out of this?

Currently Running: Pathfinder Second Edition
Currently Playing:
Pathfinder First Edition, Star Trek Adventures
Former HL Games: D&D 4e & 5e, Mutants & Masterminds 2E & 3E, Savage Worlds

I need to report the same occurrence, unable to register HL after updating to 6.1h, though the game indicated the admins were notified of the error.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for reporting this - we're having trouble reproducing this on our end, but we're trying to get the problem resolved as soon as we can. Can someone experiencing the problem please let me know if they can access these links in their web browser:

https://www.lonewolfdevel.com/

http://www.lonewolfdevel.com/

https://lonewolfdevel.com/

http://lonewolfdevel.com/

Note that some of these links uses http, and the others uses https - please try them all and verify which are working, as I'd be very interested to see if anyone sees a difference in behavior between them. Also, please let me know which web browser you're using to access them.

Thanks for your patience, everyone!

I see all four sites from here. (Firefox 35.0.1 on Windows)

Is "Activate a Product License Manually" working?

Currently Running: Pathfinder Second Edition
Currently Playing:
Pathfinder First Edition, Star Trek Adventures
Former HL Games: D&D 4e & 5e, Mutants & Masterminds 2E & 3E, Savage Worlds

I was able to open all 4 websites (http and https) successfully, so there is no issue there. I'll be happy to help troubleshoot if you want to contact me directly.

As far as we can tell, everything on our end is working fine, so I honestly don't know if activating a product license manually will work for you. Give it a try and see if it works?

For anyone else that wants to try, you can activate your license manually by following the procedure here:

http://www.lonewolfdevel.com/user/manual.asp

Make sure to put the downloaded keyfile in your c:\ProgramData\Hero Lab\ folder.

I would try the manual registration but since you can't recreate the issue on your end, I want to leave my copy of HL in its current state in case you need to run some troubleshooting with me.
