Hello.
Today I downloaded the trial version of Hero Lab. I'm considering purchasing it for use in a Mutants & Masterminds game in which I play. Before I do, I need to find out if it can support a particular variation that we use. Our game is a teen hero game using some suggested limitations in the Hero High sourcebook. In particular, the six ability scores (Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma) don't all start at 10. We use the Gifted Teen variant in which all ability scores except one gifted ability start off at 8, and the gifted ability starts off at 10. If I start up a character and manually select an 8 for a starting score, Hero Lab essentially gives me more power points to spend. Is there a way for me to tell Hero Lab that a starting value for an ability is 8 instead of 10, and to not award extra power points for that? Thank you in advance for any information. |

Hi CNYGamer,
I'm not part of the crew here, so this isn't an official answer, but you could put in a -2 permanent adjustment for each affected stat under the adjustment tab. I don't know of a more elegant way to do it. |

A -2 permanent adjustment would be the easiest way to do it. I'll see if I can implement a ruleset for this in the next release.
